2.00 BIOS for K8SE

Tyan has version 2.00 BIOS available for this MB, but the web site says:

*NOTE:* If you are running a current OS installed with nVidia nForce
driver v6.39 and bios version v1.03 (or earlier), you will need to
re-install your OS using at least nVidia nForce driver v6.66 and bios v2.00.

Has anyone tried this? Did you have to reload Windows? Did you have to
reformat? I have BIOS 1.03 loaded with the nForce 6.66 drivers, under
Win XP x64. Reformatting and re-installing Windows isn't an attractive
option. I emailed Tyan tech support for clarification, but what I have
back so far is 3 emails of boilerplate which don't have anything to do
with what I asked.
