I currently have my 2100+ oc'd to 2.17g. Would an overclocked 2500+ be
worth the upgrade?

What FSB speed do you have the 2100+ at to get to 2.17GHz? The 2500+ also
has an extra 256kb L2 cache over the 2100+

It depends mostly on 2 things

1.: Your wallet
2.: How vain you are

I myself usually do not upgrade CPU/Mainboard unless I get twice the MHz as
I had before...

If your not rich, spend your money on other things, or perhaps, save it.
Investing money in computer hardware, almost compares to throwing the money
out the window (since the value of what you get drops to dramaticly)... It
actually compares to when women spend money on shoes, now, with that in
mind, do you want to spend the extra money ? eehhehe

My 51,123441 cents :-)

I went from K6-2+/550 to XP2800+. Very nice improvement.

You should be able to get at least 200MHz on the FSB with two stix of
PC3200

I would say yes if you get an unlocked barton 2500. I had an unlocked 1800XP
(still do) to a locked 2600XP barton and I see no difference running my
overclocked 1800 at 2.15Ghz from my 2600 overclocked to 2.20ghz. I wonder
why I paid over 100CDN $ for this. Anyhow, if you get an unlock 2500, I
would say go for it as you could also increase the multiplier but if it's
locked, don't.
hope it helps
