2188cl notebook memory

I have a 2188CL Notebook. I am wondering if it is possible to use 200 pin
1Gig SoDimms. The specs say maximum memory 1Gig. But I have found that
sometimes specs are wrong. Thanks.

Not in this case. Each SODIMM slot can handle up to a 512MB module,
according to both Compaq and Crucial websites.
