My mom asked me if it was possible to add a 2nd hard drive to a 6736.
I add a R/W CD to it months ago and it did not have the room to mount
the old CD.

I have a distance to travel to get to the PC and I seem to recall the
PC had a slot for another hard drive. The HP site does not have the
PDF manuals. The product specs mention only 1 internal bay and only a
90 watt power supply. The HP site has no mention of adding a 2nd
drive so I am questioning my memory. The box may be too small to add
hardware.

Does anyone know if a 2nd drive can be added to this box?

Not possible. Problem is the PSU (power supply unit) is an anemic 90 or
100 watt in this computer and adding a second drive into it will cause
the computer to stop working. It will cause the PSU to overheat and shut
down.

You are better off buying an ATX case with a 350 watt power supply and
move the computer's guts into that and you can now upgrade at heart's
content. HP's Pavillion line of home computers are junk.
