My uncle just bought a laptop off of ebay. I tried re formating the
computer and it locks up everytime I try. It will lock up when
installing nortins internet security. I took my copy of xp pro and
installed it on the laptop and now I need to install pretty much all
the drivers. There is no video drivers, or drivers for the network,
motherboard, etc. I dowloaded the drivers from gateway and I can not
get any of the network connections to work or anything else.
In device manager under other devices these are the items listed with
an !
ethernet controller
multimedia audio controller
network controller
pci modem
video controller
video controller vga compatible
I tried all 5 restore cd's when trying to instal the drivers, it would
not find anything?
