I agree, it is a pain. SPDIF is a standard connection for many now and is the
easiest way of getting 5.1 surround. Actually the ONLY way on my Creative
Soundworks speakers short of having an Creative sound card (which has a
proprietory connector).
Still, I found the instructions on how to build it on the web and it was easy
enough to follow.
It is a small problem and I really like the rest of the board, SO much better
than my previous board from ABIT.
