Remove all of the memory, boot up the system until it beeps, complaining
about no memory. Shut down the system, re-install the memory and it
should now work as expected. If there's a jumper option to clear the
BIOS CMOS settings, do that also (or remove the battery on the
motherboard for a few minutes).
