A8V-XE BIOS

I have a Asus A8V-XE. In the BIOS 0702 under Advanced menu under PCIPnP at
the bottom **PCI Express relative items** It Has maximum payload size one is
[128] [256] [512] [1024] [2048] [4096] What are they setting? When I first
put PC together could not load windows XP put in CD started to load went
windows went to look at hard drive it would turn off. Also it I tried to
right zeros to hard drive load from A drive or CD would go to hard drive
turn off. It was set to 4096. A friend of my set it to 512 and the every
thing works.

MB Asus A8v-Xe
AMD 3200
2 1g memory sticks
WD2500KS Sata drive
A drive
CD R/W
Asus EN7600GS with 512M
PS 430 themaltake
