Abit AN7 Firewire

I would like to find the problem why my onboard firewire does not
function with any products. I found out previously that if i connected
anything to it the computer would for example charge my ipod, but not
connect to it. So on windows there was no net adaptor installed for
it. Now after reformatting my computer (due to bust hard drive) there
is a network adaptor for the on board firewire, but once i plug
something into that my computer will restart.

Did you enable the firewire option in your bios?
