ABIT IC7-MAX3 Raid Issue

I have an Abit IC7-MAX3 motherboard with 3 WD 5000 AAKS (500GB) hard drives connected in raid 0 on the silicon image 3114 controller the problem I am having is that I boot into the Windows XP home SP2 setup press F6 and install the raid driver windows then detects the 1.5 TB logical drive formats it and installs the installation files once complete it restarts the system which would normally go to the second step of the setup but it will not boot into the drive all it does is restart the cd and starts the whole setup process again.

However if I only set two HDD's as raid 0 the setup completes without any issues

Can any one tell me why this is happening as I would really like all three drives in raid 0.
