Hi everyone,

I have a nice single-cpu U45 which I got off e-bay and I would like to add
a second cpu to this machine. The problem seems that there is no
separately ordereable cpu P/N: The U45 comes in single-cpu and dual-cpu
format, period. The whole motherboard (1 or 2 cpus) is considered an FRU.
If I were to pick a second cpu on e-bay, is there any reason why it
wouldn't work to add it to my single-cpu U45? Is everything ready on my
system board to host the 2nd cpu or do I need extras (VRM's, etc..
anything)?

Thanks for any advice..

My next projet: Upgrade an US-III+ sb2k to US-IV+ cpus (they're
pin-compatible, I think).

Vincent
