I am in the market for a laptop (good riddance WTV). The owner of the
computer repair shop in my area recommends buying a Micron Transport
albeit a bit pricey. Does anyone have experience with this Mfr?

I have a very old one (you didn't state which model). The only problem
I have had with it is the usual problem with laptops: the battery
gives up working after a few years. Then I had trouble getting hold of
a replacement. The manufacturer didn't want to ship replacement
batteries to outside the US.

My advice before buying any laptop is check the price of replacement
batteries (unless you are planning to change laptop every time
Micro$shaft introduces a new operating system, in which case you will
always have an almost new machine in your possession). They vary
between $50 and $250, depending on the manufactuerer. I really can't
see any justification for variation like this.

By the way, what is WTV?
