Possibly a stupid question.
I've got an eMachines D2244. 2.2 Intel Celeron, 256mg DDRRAM, 40GB
Ultra ATA/100.
Up til now, I've been using the onboard "Intel Extreme Graphics
82845G" that it came with. Now I'm toying with the notion of getting a
real graphics card. But I'm not sure if I have an AGP slot. According
to my mainboard manual I have a CNR, DVO, and three PCI slots. The DVO
slot supports ADD, which is "AGP Digital Display". Is that equivilant
to being an AGP slot?
To quote the manual:
"Onboard DVO (Digital Video Output) Slot:
The board has one slot for ADD (AGP Digital Display) cards that allow
configurations for TV-Out and DVI output."
Alternately if I can't give enough information could someone tell me
how to recognize an AGP slot? I might just open the thing and look for
it.
