AGP vs. AGP 8x

I just bought an ATI Radeon 9600 video card that uses AGP 8x. When I
tried to put the card in my machine I noticed the card doesn't fit
into the AGP slot. Is there a different slot type for newer (8x)
video cards?

sounds like you might have a AGP 3.3v slot.

Yes, the slot for 8X is different. And theVoltage is different.
