Guys, please excuse my ignorance but................

I'm looking to upgrade my VGA card to an FX5600 which has AGP8 support.
The mobo only supports up to AGP4 - will this cause a problem?

Cheers

Phil

No.AGP 8X is pure hype. There is little difference in,"Real World"
terms between AGP 2X/4X/8X as the graphics card you have chosen as
more on board RAM and faster than the AGP port farming out to your
system RAM which would actually hinder your new card in games/Video
editing, which is what they are designed for.
If you get problems with your new card they are more likely
driver related or Power Supply rated as the newer G4/G5 cards require
a good current supply from the power supply. This is,"Not" the same as
the,"Wattage" of the P/S.

Make sure the card support AGP4 as well as AGP8 , or it won't fit.
