AK73 Pro (A) CPU support

I've just repaired a pair of old AK73 Pro (A) motherboard that had the same
problem-three seconds after powering on the board, it would power down.
The culprit was a couple of bad capacitors.

One of the boards has been returned to service, but the other board remains
without a processor. I am able to get a Duron 1.8GHz processor from the

But according to everything I've read on AOpen's site, this processor isn't
supported.

Can anybody tell me if they've used a faster processor in an AK73 Pro (A),
and more specifically, if this 1.8GHz Duron will work?
