Tom's Hardware just ran a short article listing their choice for the
best video card you can buy in a number of different price ranges. The
1950 XT was the ONLY one listed in your specified range.
For the 250GB HD, my guess is that the best one you might get now is
the Seagate 250GB SATA 2 with perpendicular recording technology. The
high areal density gives very good average seek times.
