See PDF page 10 here for an example. It shows the interconnect cables in place.

Asus, in their BIOS section here, has a BIOS update for their HD 4670 card,
to fix an issue with Crossfire. So another potential issue, is whether
your card manufacturer has a VGA BIOS update for the video card. Asus
says to flash upgrade their cards, with only one card installed in the
computer at a time.

You can visit the video card partners individual web sites here, and look
for more support. There is a good deal of variation, in how clever
each of these companies is. Some barely know how to make the cards.
And that means, when it comes to documentation and downloads, you have to
try all of them, to get enough info to use your product.

You can purchase Crossfire bridge cables, if your video cards
did not include any. These are $11 each. Since one person used
these on a 4830, my guess is they work for more than the
stated set of video cards.

The bridge cables are a bit flexible, as shown here. Don't get carried
away when bending them. They could be Kapton film with copper covers.

Even the info on how many bridge cables are needed, is inaccurate.
Who should we believe, as to how many cables are needed ? Logically,
only one should be necessary, as the two connectors on the card
are there to support up to four card Crossfire (using three bridge
cables).

"To enable dual mode ATI CrossFireX technology, a second ATI
Radeon HD 4600 Series graphics card, an ATI CrossFireX Ready
motherboard and one ATI CrossFireX Bridge Interconnect cable
(included) is required.
Are any HD 4670 cards including the bridge ? I couldn't find any examples.
Even a so-called "Certified" card, did not include the bridge :-(
It is a whole lot of trouble to get this working. I blame ATI/AMD
for most of the cluelessness. They could help their partners produce
better products, and even encourage them to include the bridge
cable in the box.
I understand some of these tandem GPU setups, can do everything
necessary via the PCI Express bus. I'm relying in this case,
on the Gigabyte video card manual, as proof one or more bridge
cables is needed.
