I've noticed in a couple of posts that you are using the 80mm fan mod
from http://superfan.freewebspace.com/

I would like to do this mod myself, but how the heck do you get the
screws in that attach the fan to the heatsink?

From the pictures, it looks like that when you put the 80mm fan on the
60mm casing, it completely covers the screw holes on the 60mm
casing...

Um... well... Price for a Thermalright SLK-800 = $40
Price on a quiet 80mm fan = $7
You do the math

Besides, I'm not overclocking, so heat isn't an issue for me. I just
want a quiet fan and an 80mm should be much quieter.

DOH! Not only that, but if you read the detailed procedure, the author
actually states, "I was careful to glue at all points of contact
between the two items and to leave the screw holes accessible through
the fan blades.".

I really must read more carefully

If you study the pictures in detail the fixing holes on the 60mm
piece will be accessable through the 80mm fan blades

I super glued the small Socket 7 as a spacer at right angles to the
80mm so that I could use two screws into it and then into the HS.
