Thanks. My daughter mentioned in some of her labs, the college
supplies Apple laptops for the class only so she asked me about them.
We saw the thin new Apple in a Austin mall and it looked interesting
but I wasn't interested enough to inquire. I may have to replace her
current laptop (600m) because it's plastic around the hinges are
chipping away but it's still working fine so far. I'm just thinking
ahead. Who knows, maybe I'll just end up with another Dell laptop.

ps-- I won't email you now. thanks!!

I can remember my first trip south (Florida) in November and it was 80
degrees and I had never in my life then seen anything about 55 at that
time of year. I was stunned in a nice way !!

You're welcome. I can {over-}analyze the hell out of anything :-) but
if there's a slight chance it is useful as food-for-thought for any
potential student computer-solutions, it was worth the time.

If I perfect the British accent, I will work on my Indian one so that
when I call Dell tech support next I can tell them, in a heavy Indian
accent, that I can't understand what they are saying.

Gosh, I can't imagine how people go to work in below zero temperatures
in the morning. It must not be fun especially for parents with young
children that need to go to school.
