ATX/AT Mainboard

Hi,

I have a via based mainboard with a AMD k6-2 @ 450mgz. The FSB is 66
it has a 20gb hdd and agp 2x w/ a trident 4mb graphics card. Right now
im running win xp pro w/256mb of sdram. But ths problem is, that the
mainboard came with two form factors ATX and AT. When I have At it
runs fine but it is an inconvinence for me to wait to turn it off. So
When i plugged it in the ATX port w/ a fairly new case w/ 400watt psu
the computer worked great with win 98se. turned off fine. But whe n i
upgrade and did a clean install which i did both, to xp or 2k the
computer would restart instead of shut down or get the win xp/2k blue
screen of death. It did this both times. I have tryed to diable
advanved power or whatever on windows, but nothing happens. thnaks for
your replys. I will try to post the serial number of hte mainboard
later.

Try turn off "Plug and Play" device to "No" in the BIOS setting.
