Auto new line for Handwriting Pad

Running Vista Business on Toshiba Tablet. When first received, the
handwriting input pad automatically provided a new line when the first line
was complete. This no longer happens. 'Automatic Text Insertion' option
doesn't seem to do anything nor does 'New Writing Line'. How do I get this
feature back?

Hi Beverly,

As I indicated in my original post, that's the obvious one and I tried that.
Matter of fact, neither of the two mentioned setting seems to have any
effect. Thanks for the idea though.
