Are you sure there's a non OTES version of the card? Yesterday I googled for "Abit Siluro fx5900" and the
results always showed OTES appended to the name, so I figured every Abit Siluro FX5900 is an OTES card and the
link was to the correct BIOS image.

Did it fail to flash?

Tony.

Hi M8

Yeah i searched too and only found the OTES,

The card flashed ok (and i was sure it was my original bios) But when
i run SiluroIQ (An ABit prog to measure temps etc) it just errors out
on the message "this only works on OTES Cards", so i assumed that it
was the bios not giving the correct info out to the program.

I was hoping to try a Bios taken from someone who had a backup so i
could try that.

Is there another way to read the temps on the card ?

Thanks anyway

Mach

When using nVidia's own drivers from www.nvidia.com the temp reading
is found in Display Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> {name of card }
-> {open sidebar } -> Temperature Settings.

It might be more fruitful to make use of the VGA card section on Abit's
support forum. http://forum.abit-usa.com.

Tony.

hi again

I have already posted on the forums so hopefully i'll get a result from
that.

I am using leaked nvidia drivers and i can't find the temp display ,so
perhaps the official ones may display the temp . I'll give them a try later.

Thanks again
