BLACK SCREEN AFTER BOOTUP !!

I have windows XP home on my comp.My monitor shows the xp screen
during boot up,Once it gets through that my screen goes black ,help
!!!!

installed any new software of late?? try booting via safe mode n see
if it starts up then, if it does uninstall any new software n uneccc
software also check ur auto start reg

thanks ill give that a try !!

Sounds like a video driver issue. If you can boot to safe mode try a earlier
restore point in system restore.
