Bluetooth on zt3017ea?

I bought a hp pavilion zt3017ea It had the bluetooth software installed but
did not look to closly at it but noticed that the icon on th taskbar was
blue and white indicating that bluetouth worked....

After a format and installation of winxp pro sp1 and installe all updated
drivers and software the bluetooth icon ramains blue and read indicating
that there is no device installed???

Does the zt3017ea have bluetooth at all?? can't find any info at hp about
bluetooth....

i've a pavilion zt3000 (3020ea)and it has a bluetooth SOFTWARE
pre-installed.
But itsn't have a Bluet Hardware.
You can found all the hardware on the control panel.
I think that u must buy the bluetooth Hardware (usb is simply).

Thanks for the tip...

It took HP one hour on active chat support to tell me that it did not have
bluetooth.

After asking them why the software was installed they said it must have been
a mistake!?!?

They even tryed to say that the software must be for the wireless network
card? go figure.......

Why install software for hardware that does not exist???

An older xf328 has a miniPCI card slot, a Canadian radio certification
and no slot installed in the card slot. Parts is parts, I guess.
