Can I delete hpm1175e.gpd, hpm1175i.gpd in C:\Windows\I386|driver.cab?

How about hpm1175e.gpd and hpm1175i.gpd in C;\Windows\driver cache
\i386\driver.cab?

How about hpm1175i.bud in C:\Windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3 ?

I have uninstalled an OfficeJetPro 1175Cxi in order to install a new
HP Photosmart C8180. I'm having a very very bad time trying to get
the 8180 to work. The install looks okay, but then the computer can't
see the printer.

What are .gpd files anyway?

Will deleting those files above do any good?

Thanks for any info.

Lew
