The reason is that it looks like the card uses the mp2 extention for
mpeg2... used for TV capture. Or so Ive read. Its a double whammy. mp2 is
already used for audio (just not often), and like you say confusing real
mp2 files with mp3 can happen. They should just use m2v for the mpeg2 files
like everyone else. But I guess they have to be different.
