CAT 9 BETA v CAT 9

Folks
installed the 9 betas a few weeks ago and now the officials
are out. Should i uninstall the betas and replace with the officials?

System : abit AI7
p4 2.8 non-prescott
1Mb corsair value
Sapphire XT9600
Win XP SP2
No oveclocking - anywhere

Play IL2FB, COD OE, Far Cry, Doom3 and Painkiller mainly.
Occasional lock-up experienced in COD OE and Doom3.

Would appreciate guidance from those who understand better than I.

Instaling the official drivers is always more preferable than the BETA
ones.Some fixes that are in the official drivers are maybe not available
in BETA.And BETA sometimes have a reputation of crashing or freezing the
PC.

In this case the beta's that where just released are such a great
improvement that you might want to go ahead and use them. Omega
released his new version of 4.9's with the beta rolled into it. I saw
HUGE gains in my 3dmark05 score and in games.

If you were willing to use the betas before you should try the current
set of betas, they the best right now.

Now if there wasn't this new one out I'd say you should update to the
official 4.9s, the amount of difference it would make would be
negligible though.
