CD Writer

Hi,
I have a CD Writer installed on my computer and it used to work fine
with WinXP. Now I have had to switch to Win2K as a result of which the
cd writer is recognised by win2k as a cd rom.

Anyone has any ideas on how i can fix this problem?

XP, as I recall, is supplied with CD recording software. It's this software
that allows the operating system to see the drive as a burner.

Install Nero (my personal preference), Roxio EZ-CD Creator, or something
similar.
Your system should then see the drive as a burner when you run the burning
software.

> why dont you try a different cd writing software like nero or
easy cd creator
