CompactPCI 3U vs. 6U

Hi,

is it possible to run 6U compactpci boards in a 3U backplane?
I don't have rear transition boards or pci devices to worry about.

I could simply try out and pray but I want to spare myself what IBM
calls "emits smoke or smell of burning"
