Not sure if this is the correct group to post this question but was
the closest I could find. Anyway here is my question. I have a Dell
Powedge 2500 server I would like to increase my storage capacity by
adding a Dell Powervault 210S that I also have. It seams as though I
should be able to do this using one of the channels of the internal
PERC3/Di RAID controller. Problem is I have no idea what cable I need
or where I might get it.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Steve

what i would do is pull up the documentation on each of the components
you have, and look at the connections, and some of the docs may list the
cable that is needed.
you'll find it at support.dell.com

powervault 210s has an ultra2/ultra3 68 pin connector (as well as dual 68
pin connectors for a redundant type configuration).
the poweredge 2500 may or may not have an external scsi connector. i think
there was an optional connector available, plus depending on weather or not
you purchased a high end scsi controller that was fitted into one of the
expansion slots (a scsi raid controller is integrated in the motherboard and
was certainly good enough for many things). worse case, you need to
purchase/install a scsi card with an external connector.

ps. once you get a external scsi port on the powedge 2500, this is the tpe
of cable that you will need....

and you may need to add an adpaptec scsi card that had an external port. i
suggest calling adaptec for recomendations for cards tested as compatible
with your server and with the correct interface for the powervault.
