Connecting a cougar hotas to two computers

I plan to connect my Cougar to my two computers one is a WinXP and the
other is WIn98 but I keep getting an error message when I connect it
to my switch box (Nexxtech USB 2.0 Manual Share Switch). When I try
connecting it to my computer using the USB hub or directly it works
fine. Once the Switch is connected it doesn't work at all. My CH Pro
Pedals work just fine either way. Is there any compatibility problems
with the Cougar and Manual USB Switches? I have not tried connecting
the Win98 system yet because if it isn't working on the XP then it
makes no sense going further for now. Any suggestions folks. Thanks.

Thanks for showing interest in solving my problem but I figured it
out. It appears that the Cougar HOTAS needs the extra power to get it
going. I had to use a powered USB hub to which I connected the Cougar
I then plugged the Cougar it into the switch box. That worked fine
and dandy. The computers are now reading both joystick and rudders.
