Consistent crashes - Norton 05?

I have recently reformatted my harddrive, and reinstalled everything with
the latest drivers. I also installed Norton Internet Security 2005. Now
I'm having a lot of program crashes, especially programs that access the
internet (i.e. AIM). My whole computer crashes, and I can't even
Ctrl+Alt+Del, or even move the mouse cursor. Is anyone having the same type
of probs?
