Is there such a thing as an Optical Cordless PS/2 mouse ?
I exclude from this set those USB devices which have a USB-to-PS/2
passive converter. Reason: this is for an IBM Thinkpad 600E, and my
experience so far is that some PS/2 devices work, but that no USB
devices with a PS/2 converter work.
If there is such an animal, my supplementary question is: is there a
PS/2 Cordless Optical mouse which is in fact cordless? The most
popular such mouse USB-style has two cords. There is a cord which
leads from the USB port to the receiver / charger, and another cord
which leads from the AC adapter. I understand that the adapter is a
bonus, not necessary, but it is still another cord.
"Cordless" is a term which implies freedom from the traditional
umbilical relationship between computer and input device, so I'm not
going to question its use. However, cords can be an attraction to cats
(not to be confused with mouse devices)....
