I use this to monitor my temps, how can I configure it to display the CPU
speed as well?

What you will need to do is enable the OSD (On Screen Display) You can
set the position of the display as well as the font and color of the
text.

Goto the settings screen

Select Tray & OSD

Select OSD Settings button and enable the OSD
Then select the OSD Script button

This shows the items displayed. Replace it with the line

CPU : <CPU 1 Speed>

Apply the changes and that should do it.

HTH

game like Fraps does shame would be worth using if it did

FWIW you can pause MBM (right click on the taskbar and select Pause)
This should avoid the display on the screen, but of course it will not
monitor your PC until you select resume.
