cracked LCD

hello
I have recenty had my notebooks lcd replaced (as part of the
guarantee).
But after one week the new lcd cracked, it has few cracks spreading
from one point. There are no damages on the surface of the screen. I
think it's not my fault beacuse I didin't do anything unusual with my
laptop, I didn't hit the screen with anything, there are no marks on
the surface on both sides.
I suspect that the new LCD was mounted badly so it cracked form small
wibrations during carrying it in the bag.

My question is: do I have any chace to convince the producer on my
laptop that it was their fault ?
Is this possible that it was their fault ?

Cracks spreading from one point indicate impact damage. Something has hit
the screen at that point. Screens that break from an external force
generally have a small number of random cracks across the screen.

But how to explan that the surface of the screen isn't damaged, and
when I opened the lid there where no objects between screen and the
keyborad.
How strong is the surface of the screen ?

Any damage to the lid?

How did the manufacturer determine that the first round of damage was
their fault?

No, the first time the problem where bad pixels, there where no cracks,
just bad pixels. The replaced the lcd and after a week it cracked,
that's why I suspect that is was badly replaced so it became more
sensible for small vibrations.

I ask this question because I don't know if there is a point to argue
for free replacement.

I agree with you Patryk. While installing the LCD display they cracked
it. And now it is getting worse. Stand your ground.

How strong is the surface of the screen ?

The actual surface that you can see, touch and cover with sticky
fingerprints is quite pliable, and when not part of a screen can be rolled
up. But underneath that is a thin sheet of glass. Impact damage will break
the glass, but unless hit by a sharp object will not affect the pliable
covering. Impact damage can also occur from the other side, often when the
lid is closed. Something hard will usually leave evidence, but something
soft but heavy probably won't. If the glass broke because of stresses due
to incorrect assembly, I cannot conceive of a scenario where the damage
would manifest itself as impact damage.

The glass is very thin indeed, and it can be flexed by very moderate
pressure. Even the gentle touch of a finger causes the image to display
ripples as the glass distorts (use the back of a fingernail to avoid leaving
an aforementioned fingerprint).

To be honest, with evidence of impact damage, you really are going to have a
very hard time convincing the repairer that it was their fault.

Patryk has mentioned at least twice, there is no signs of any impact
damage. Take it back Patryk and get that screen replaced for free.

Yes he has. His discription of the cracks is, "... few cracks spreading
from one point." That one point is the impact point.

Once again I read it differently. Here is what Patryk said:

So I see either the tech bent the screen to get it in there, or it had a
small crack before the tech even had his/her hands on it. And once a
crack in glass starts, or usually only gets worse.
