A question about a P4C800 Delux

P4 intel @ 3gig

This board has 4 DIMM Slots PC3200
BIOS says its operating dual channel mode @ 320mhz

Shouldbt it be 400mhz

Memory Modules c,d

2558 Megabytes Installed Memory

Slot 'DIMM0' has 1024 MB (serial number SerNum0)
Slot 'DIMM1' has 512 MB
Slot 'DIMM2' has 1024 MB
Slot 'DIMM3' has 512 MB

My question is why isnt all the memory being shown?

Shouldnt it be 3072 ?

Just looking for an explination and a way to optimize performance if anyone
knows of one
Thank in advance

Are the two pairs of memory the same manufacturer?

If you have the manual, check page 2-11. There is a Qualified Vendor
List. If you use other brand or size modules, you may experience
problems.

The note below Table 2 says that when using 800 MHz CPU FSB speed,
PC2700 DIMMs may run at 320 MHz (not 333 MHz) due to chipset limitation.

Look into the BIOS and make sure the CPU and memory buss speeds are
correct. Set the memory CAS, etc. timings manually.

Page 2-11 of the manual has a footnote
When using 800MHz CPU FSB, PC2700 DDR DIMMS may run at 320MHz (not 333MHZ)
due to chipset limitation.
