Hi,
Once in a while after I boot , everything stops before my desktop
comes on, and I get a dialog box message to insert my WIN98 E disk. I
presume that something had gotten corrupted and it needed the WIN98
drivers. Good so far?
I put the WIN98CD in the drive, close the door, and I select the
appropriate CD Rom letter, click OK, but nothing happens. It doesn't
read the CD. I eject the CD drive and then close it again; as soon as
the CD lights come on, I click OK, again hoping to catch it in the
mood, but Windows is not read and I don't get the problem solved.
I verify the correct drive letter, and I type F:\WIN 98, oesn't work.
I type just F:\, nothing. My WIN 98 disk is fine because if I just
stand by it will load and I get that awful WIN98 screen and music!
Then I resort to SKIP FILE, and try for the next....nothing. I give
up! And the next, etc...but my CD drive just won't read WIndows 98.
