Dell SSD - ala carte vs upgrade

in looking at the M1330 -
there is a 128GB SSD option for the disk upgrade
from the 320GB normal hard drive.
The upgrade is about $350...

BUT - the drive is listed around $700 -

SO - how can they offer it as a somewhat inexpensive upgrade ?

Loss leader or volume OEM pricing. Your guess is as good as mine.
Those would seem to be the only possibilities. With Dell not doing as
well financially as in the past, my guess is that they are avoiding loss
leaders.
