What is the DELL Wireless N Mini-Card...???

I was under the impression that ALL laptops and NetBooks came with
Wifi capability. What is this Wireless N Mini-Card that I see listed
on SOME, not all laptops?

Do all laptops and NetBooks from Dell come with built in Wifi or not?

Here in the 21st century already, I would be thunderstruck if any new
laptop lacked at least 802.11g wifi. Laptops with card slots for
built-in (miniPCI) wifi have been available for about 5 years now, but
for some time, not all laptops had wifi. Wireless N refers to a card
capable of supporting 802.11n, which is still not yet a ratified
industry standard... Ben Myers

yes it would have WiFi capabaility straight out of the box, the n card
description is telling you that it has thelongest distance of
connectivity wifi card installed

If a new netbook did not have built-in wifi, it simply would not sell.
Ask before you buy, but I see no reason why not.

I suspect what you are seeing here is mfrs touting the
not-yet-industry-standard 802.11n, and soft-pedaling 802.11g... Ben

Geez. They finally got around to ratifying it and didn't tell me. They
did so on Sept 11! And the newspapers I read and the web sites I visit
made no mention. I must run in the wrong circles. Or possibly around

Christ, 40 years ago we were apparently able to put men on the moon
and yet, despite the massive advancements in technology since, we
havent gone back or gone further?

Even my 2004 pocket calculator is more advanced than the technology
