deskpro cpu upgrade

I have Compaq deskpro tower computer. It has a p3 550 cpu. I think the model
number is Deskpro EP BX/P550. I was just wondering what the highest cpu I

what is the part # for your cpu. should say SLxxx on the top. if u have
a slot1.

One rule of thumb is that you can put in the fastest cpu that takes the
same voltage +/- .05

It is a slot 1 cpu. But I was not sure of the fastest. I've heard I could go
p3 933. Im not sure through. Thanks Jay

You could probably even go up to 1.4GHz using a Slot-T adapter,
like PowerLeap's PL-iP3/T.
