I need a new PSU for a system based on an ASUS A7N8X mobo.

I bought an Antec Truepower Trio 430 (p/n TP3-430). It says ATX12V v
2.2 on the box.

When I go to install it, I find that the mobo power connector is two
or 4 pins wider than the one that works and that the retention clip
doesn't snap in and nothing but friction keeps the connector in place.

On the news PSU the clip is about 2x the width ofthe old one.

Yes, I have the clip lined up with the right place on the socket.

What's up?

Thanks

Check if part of PSU 24pin connector unclips to give you 20 pin plus 4
way spare connector. You can purchase 20 - 24 pin converters.

Mike.

Bingo! It was scored and snaped apart easily.

Thanks.

(I this feature is mentioned in the flyer that came in the box. I
never expected to RTFM for such a basic component. )
