difference between CPU

Anyone tell me what the difference is between an Opteron 175 and the AMD X2
chips they both have the same L2 cache so why the price difference (sterling
here) plus wot is the best opteron 175 to get and cheapest

Opteron is server grade. Athlon is desktop grade. Other than that, there's
really not any difference for comparable parts. Opterons are supposed to
be the pck of the litter and will probably overclock better overall.
