Disable onboard video on EP-3VWB+

I'm trying to figure out where in the BIOS of an Epox EP-3VWB+ to
disable the onboard video and force it to use a PCI video card. I
checked the Integrated Peripherals section, but can't figure out what
I have to change. INIT Display First is set to PCI Slot, but still
not resolving my problem. If anyone could please post a solution,
please post it here. Thanks.

That's the quick and fast request that I have. If you need the long
winded reason as to why, read on...

Rebuilding an old BabyAT Pentium case with a new Epox EP-3VWB+
motherboard with a Celeron 1GHz chip. I put everything together with
the exception of the on-board video connector (using the old board's
Trident PCI Video card that was checked as working before beginning
the project) and tried booting up. Couldn't get past the BIOS post
screen. Even held down the delete key right after hearing the
power-up beep. It gave me the BIOS settings blue screen, but froze up
after that.

So, I tried checking everything I could think of. Re-seating the RAM
modules, trying a different RAM module, trying another CPU (P3 550),
moving the PCI card to different slots, unplugging all of the PS/2,
USB, COM port connectors, still same problem. Tried leaving the mouse
off and a different keyboard too. Still freezing.

Finally, tried connecting the onboard video connector and removing the
PCI video card, and bingo, everthing worked fine. Left onboard video
connector on and tried putting PCI video back in, freeze again.

The Trident PCI card was tested fine in the Pentium 233 system that
was in place before the upgrade. The Trident won't be my finished
card for the project...I've got a Radeon PCI card on order to take
care of that, but it looks like the onboard video is preventing my use
of a PCI video card. The Radeon isn't here yet, and I don't have
another PCI card on hand to use for a test at the moment.

Any ideas as to how to resolve this problem? In the Integrated
Peripherals part of the BIOS screen, I've got it set to PCI Slot, but
it doesn't seem to have any effect. Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: I was able to borrow a Matrox PCI Video card to try with the
system, and it worked. So...it looks like the Trident video card was
the culprit in causing the machine to freeze up. Hopefully when the
Radeon comes in everything will still be fine.

I still can't figure out how to disable the onboard video though
(using part of the system memory). I was able to go into the BIOS and
bring down the memory dedication to video down to 2MB, but would still
like to disable on-board video altogether.

not familiar with this board. Could it be a jumper?

Official from Epox Tech Support: On-Board Video on this particular
model *cannot* be disabled. Best that you can do when using a
seperate PCI video card is to go into the BIOS and throttle down the
amount of memory used up by on-board video down to the lowest level
possible. At least the system eats up the least amount of system
memory for video.

Oh well. Be advised if you're considering purchase of this board.
Seems to be working quite well right now, actually.
