Display Adapter 9800 Pro

I just installed a ATI 9800 Pro and am having trouble with artifacts
on 3D videos like the ATI demos and 3DMark03.
Could a setting in the Catalyst Control Center cause this? I looked
under the old Display Properties settings at the Settings,Advanced, Displays
tabs and there is no monitor shown as connected. Is this normal when using
the DVI output and Catalyst Control Center?
