Do FX5200 (non Ultra) have variable speed fans?

I was wondering if FX5200 (non Ultra) cards (specifically the MSI
FX5200-TD128) have variable speed fans (ie: fan runs slower in 2D and faster
in 3D, etc.). If the MSI doesn't have a variable speed fan, do any other
FX5200 have it?

Thanks,
Harry

I don't think any of the non-ultra 5200 cards come with fans. Just a
heatsink. At least the MSI and eVGA cards I've seen don't have fans. The
ultra does have a fan. Not sure if it's variable though. I suppose if you
put an inline resistor it can be

SK

Asus has all the FX5200 except Magic version with fans. And they aren't
Ultra cards.

I looked at a number of 5200 128 bit cards on price watch. Including MSI,
Gainward, and eVGA. None had fans. But I don't doubt that there are 5200s
that do. It just appears to me that the majority don't.

Yes, the more expensive models do, as do the winfast ones ( I think..)
