How do you lock a windows in certain position permanently?

I have a to-do list in omni outliner pro

I have an iBook and an external monitor

Is there anyway I can keep my todolist windows LOCKED in a certain
position on the screen (i'm forever dragging windows around, it's
irritating)



Also, I use VLC player usually to play movies in full screen.

I don't have front row (obviously) - is there anyway ... everytime I
play a movie, it opens and plays in full screen in the external monitor
(with a black background),
I can do this now, but everytime I have to drag windows around and
click on apple-3 to get it full ..



Is there a freeware front row equivalent that supports iBook with the
screen spanning doctor?
