DVD drive disappeared surprisingly

Hi all,

I wonder if you can help. For some reason my DVD drive has disappeared from "My Computer" and is inaccessible. It was fine and was used earlier today but for some reason does not show up. My 2 hard drives still show up okay.

As I am using Win XP Pro i did a system restore to yesterday when all was well. However this did not fix it

Any ideas on how to resolve please ?
