Just bought this motherboard. When I attempt to install WinXP I get this
long
message after all the driver's are installed and attempts to boot into
WinXP:

"A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage
to your computer,

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your
computer.
If this screen appears again, follow these steps.

The bios in this system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact your
system
vendor or visit http://www.hardware-update.com for an updated bios. If you
are
unable to obtain an update bios or the latest bios supplied by your vendor
is not
fully ACPI compliant, you can turn iff ACPI mode during text mode setup. To
do
this, simply press the F7 key when you are prompted to install storage
drivers.
The system will not notify you that the F7 key was presses - it will
silently disable
ACPI and allow you to continue your installation.

Technical information:

*** Stop: 0x000000A5 (0X00000011, 0X0000007, 0XF886E0C0, 0X0100000E) "

The motherboard bios is ver 1.0b 10/6/2003

Does anyone know what this error is all about?

1) Flash your BIOS to the newest version (1.0E).

2) Enable ACPI in BIOS

3) Reinstal WinXP.

Where do you find the 1.0E bios, I have looked all over Elitegroups website
and can only find 1.0b. I also need a LAN driver for Windows NT4.0 for the
onboard LAN VIA VT6103L
