Sorry, I should have given some background on why.
The memory controller resides in the CPU itself. Socket 939 CPUs' memory
controller only supports DDR memory. AM2 CPUs' memory controller only
supports DDR2 memory. Your motherboard only supports DDR memory. DDR2
DIMMs use a different socket layout and different voltage level than your
current DDR DIMMs and sockets on your motherboard.
